I bought some used cutter pans that came in the mail yesterday. They are beautifully and deeply seasoned. Obviously from a restaurant.
Anyway, some of them have a sticky residue on them, but the residue is not uniform: it only covers a portion of the pan surface. Imagine if someone poured oil in a pan but only along one edge and it spread a bit to cover about a third of the pan, and then left it to semi-dry.
Anyway, I thought I'd put them in the oven to warm up the oily residue and then try to wipe it out. Should I do a salt scrub instead? Or something else? They really don't need to be re-seasoned. I just want to clean the oily messy parts.
