This is what I would rather eat than anything, including pizza. I prefer chickens, but these guys fight a lot more, even on 30Ws. (My Brothers with a couple bulls off Chub)

For the first 5 years we were married, my wife and I lived on chickens and peanuts and our dog lived on kingfish, eggs, and rice mixed together.

We also did quite a bit of wet fly drifts for reds in Baffin. Never caught any big boys, but we were able to sight cast a lot of rats

Edit: That is actually close to Bird Island, not Baffin.

Here is my first bill. I caught it a scant 10 miles off the Freeport jetties. It was on light tackle and it was dead when I got it to the boat. It was supposed to be a kingfish. When I got back to the dock, there was a game warden at the bait store next to the boat ramp. I asked him how long a sailfish had to be, his response: "lets go see it."

My first bill, circa 1972ish hit a big bait and drowned before we even realized there was something on the lure off Wilmington in North Carolina.

Lock & dam #2 on the Mississippi about 2 miles from my house a couple years ago. Paddle fish, protected here but I've has them where they are not and let me tell you.....brined and smoked they are like country ham, off the hook shall we say!!

There is some nice fish in this thread! That's an awesome billfish jump Craig. My dad use to do a lot of deep sea tournaments out of Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL with my uncle and his boat "Magic Carpet Ride" (Think it was a Topaz). They actually won the Orange Beach tournament one year, I think the blue marlin they caught was right around 400 lb. if I'm not wrong. Pretty good size fish. Won the wahoo division one year too.

Myself though, I'm a small time kind of guy, and that is because of finances mostly.

I do a little fly fishing for bream off their beds in a lake close to my house. Every now and again I'll get at some crappie there too with some crickets or go hit up a pond with some chicken livers and catch a fat ole catfish or two. It doesn't really matter where or what you fish though, it's all about enjoying the sport and having awesomely good fun. I love how relaxing it is, and how good of eating it can be too. Ha.

Wow Craig. That must be quite a thrill! I hope to hit a couple of small streams on Friday. A 12-inch brown would be a prize! It's all relative I guess.
