13" plates. I did AL pans for years, but I really like the plates.

I got them here for a little less than $10/ea.

I wanted something a little bigger so I bought one of these:  http://www.amazon.com/Kitchen-Supply-8150-Porcelain-Diameter/dp/B002GYWFJC/?tag=pizzamaking-20

I'm very happy with it.  I mostly still use the aluminum plates for serving after cutting on a board, but when I'm taking photos, I use the nice white plate.  It's a good heavy-duty plate.

I tried one of the Fiesta 15" ones, but it had too high a lip for me so it went back.

10 bucks a plate? emmm expensive for a professional setting, I would have to charge my staff breakage LOL,

anyone know any wholesale prices for similar plates?
anyone know what pizzerias are paying for their plates?

I guess 10 bucks is ok,
better than paying 20

You get what you pay for.  I don't believe in serving pizza or anything for that matter on marked up plates from cheap porcelain.  We paid $34/plate & they look as good as the day we got them.  I mentioned the cost to the staff and asked them to be careful with them.  Any good supplier will offer chip warranties on their plates.

They are extremely good quality and don't chip easily.  As I mentioned, the supplier warrants them under a chip warranty.  Do they break?  Sure the odd one gets dropped; that's life.  The staff are aware of how much they cost so they exercise caution.  They are just plain bone white, no logo as pictured below.

I serve mine on aluminum pizza trays.  Once I open my actual pizzeria I plan on serving them on handmade white pizza plates.

I rack them for a couple minutes, then cut them on the cutting board, then put them back on the cooling racks.  Self-serve, and then onto what ever type plates we are using.

Sorry to drag this thread up from the past, but I'm surprised that nobody selected using Wooden Chopping Boards for serving. Is there a reason for this?

Personally, I like the 'rustic' nature, I think it goes well with pizza. Plus, over here they're actually a lot cheaper than equivalent sized plates.

I put a screen over an aluminum serving tray, so it also acts as a cooling rack.

We use a pizza pan with paper plates.  Old school like I grew up with in the NJ/NYC pizza business.  We use gas deck ovens and are authentic to tradition to go with fancy plates, wood boards, and such, doesn't fit.  Walter

Paper plate with a piece of wax paper. To me there's something warming about the old school way.

When doing wood fired on the road we use a 10 3/8" paper plate and make 11" pies. At the lodge we serve on aluminum pizza plates, and use a pizza cutting board to cut them, that preserves the aluminum pizza plates.  I saw in a pizza video posted by Norma about a pizza expo in Italy and in it was pizza box without a top made of thin paper board that looked like a great serving idea and was wondering about them.  Can not find any information on them anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

Ours get served on Aluminum round pans, after being cut on the peel.
I have a stack of porcelain platters in storage, and I will not use them due to the way people under 40 years of age have no cares or respect for others property or items these days.
I've had people in here who could destroy an anvil with a rubber mallet, so the good stuff stays packed away because of it.

A cardboard cake circle covered with a piece or two of wax paper(Logan Wrap).  $0.15 and no dishes to wash.

We use 12" flat plates for our Neapolitan pies.  About $9-10/ea from CAC China.

For catering I use the same ones that Craig mentioned. For vending a round cardboard with a kind of parchment paper on top and if they want it to go I use a box.
