The guy says right in the ad that it will not brown the top. Not to mention I would not buy a used elctric oven that someone has intentionally disabled the thermostat and has intentionally run it WAY hotter than it was designed for.

WFO do not have to cost 10k BTW....

Yes, a WFO can be cheaper than 10K, but what are the options for a 900F hearth under $100...?

OR someone has seen first hand how fast the wall fire can spread that is caused by a substandard elecrtrical device...

Those countertop ovens do not need modding. Just point a small fan at the thermostat and it runs as hot as you want, plus you get the added benefit of driving some of the moisture out of the cooking dome. BTW, I have the Deni and the Ferrari G3 ovens. The fan method works well.
