Things would have been a lot better if it hadn't rained and all the stuff got wet, but all in all Steve and Bob did a great job!  :)

Sounds like you had a great time.  Sure looked like a lot of fun.

I can't help but think about how the barm from all those interesting home brews could be used to rise the next batch of pizza dough.

David,

We all had a great time.

I sure don’t know anything about home brewing and barm, but Steve sure would know about that.  Steve is going to teach me how to home brew this summer.

Larry,

Bob’s mobile WFO is really neat. Steve can tell you more about Bob’s oven, when he see this thread.  Steve made a room temperature fermented Ischia dough.  The event was a lot of fun.

Norma

Larry,
Bob built his oven with the Pompeii oven plans from Forno Bravo, same as me, except his is a 36 incher and mine is 42. Bob built his first and was actually the inspiration behind my own.
The pvc pieces really did the trick. It's just 4 inch diameter pvc pipe cut into 3 inch pieces. I got tired of fighting with dough balls that were stuck to two other dough balls and the side of the box. Just a little spritz of "PAM" on the insides and the dough falls right out!

What a blast. It doesn't get much better than that.

I love pigs. They convert vegetables into bacon.

Craig,

The home brewers did a great job with all the different brews. I never tasted so many different tastes in any beers, but then I am not a beer expert.  The Big Island IPA by Bob and his wife had a pineapple taste which was great.  :)  Steve and Bob did a great job with the pizzas too.  Too bad it had to rain though.

John,

Pizza and Beer do go together well.  There was also wine at the event from Tamanend Winery.  http://www.tamanendwinery.com/default.aspx

Steve can tell you more about the pvc, but I opened a few dough balls and the dough just plopped out into the flour without any effort.

Thanks John. I know a lot of folks don't like to oil neapolitan dough, but just a little "Pam" olive oil sprayed inside the pvc and the dough comes right out. There's no oil in the dough, just in the pvc. It didn't seem to have any adverse affect to the way it baked, though Bob's oven tends to run a bit cooler @ around 700 most of the time. We were getting pies in the 2 minute range I guess. We did 36 pies altogether. The rain made it interesting to say the least!
