As a pizza lover myself and a father to two pizza loving sons (and a tolerant wife), I would like to learn how to make this beloved staple at home. I grew up in 1960s/70s/80s London, which was many good things but hardly a pizzaphile's Mecca. Neither is Israel, where I now live, although a few really nice pizza parlours have sprung up in Tel Aviv in the last ten years or so. That said, I am a man of simple tastes so I have generally enjoyed most pizza slices that come my way, with a preference for the thin-based crisp crust variety with simple garlic-rich toppings based on good fresh tomatoes.
I could go on, but would mostly like to wish you all happy eating using natural ingredients and plenty of the love and friendship that makes food fuel for both body and soul. And I am really looking forward to trying the recipes, and especially to unraveling the art of the perfect base!
