Looks like I'll be loosing my internet service for at least two weeks starting in a couple days.   Seems my adult kids can't stop using something called bit torrent to illegally download movies. Three strikes and you're out. Well, I'm out and I've never downloaded a movie in my life.

Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, HBO-On Demand, Hulu, Walmart-On Demand and many, many more legitimate sources for streaming movies, TV, etc.

Ev, sorry to hear about your woes. There are laws in some countries (France) where you can be blacklisted for years for internet access for such actions. Content owners keep trying to increase consequences for illegal downloading in this country.

Where do you get movies these days anyhow?  All the rental places are gone.

We have been getting ours at the public library. With our library system we can visit their website and order movies from any of a whole bunch of libraries all over the region and have them delivered to our local branch in a day or two. They have just about anything you could want and it's free. We have also discovered that if you watch out for new releases, the library system puts them in their database a month or two before they actually get them so you can reserve a copy of them before they are even released and avoid the rush.

They must me DLing massive gig's at a time or not transferring the files after they are DL then deleting them once transferred. There's also a DL limit that people have a month so they are probably hitting that or getting close to it and your provider checked what was going on. Your lucky though, some people have to pay big bucks, like thousands of dollars some times.

Darn right, no pizza for them!
 I'm not mad at my ISP or even hollywood. Rules are rules and we violated them. Frankly, I'm surprised they gave us three chances. We had three violations over several years. My oldest daughter, the first two violations, gets it now, I'm sure. Hopefully the youngest gets it now too. Meanwhile, I get to remember what life was like before the internet. Maybe that's a good thing,........................ but I doubt it. I better print out some recipes while I still can!
