For framing, do you like the actual image, or something like a watercolor?

ditto what Peter said. I think the bottom pic is what your pizza looks like after a few bottles of mouton  :-D - still a looker though!

Craig, please send me the hi-res version(s)... I have a 13" Epson R3000.
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.

That's funny, I was looking at a photo of this yesterday and thinking about some kind of paint filter. What got me started was the fact, that, even without a filter, the bottom piece of basil looks a little like it was painted.

Craig, I wouldn't necessarily give up on the filter, but I think there's a filter (or a filter setting) that might give you a little more subtlety.

I'm strangly attracted to the watercolor (actually Photoshop "Dry Brush") version.

I think the first watercolor would be nice in a frame as long as it was kept on the smallish side....reminds me of something you'd see in Italy.

I don't know, I think that the beauty is in the product. I like the original photo best. A painter's passion and artistic abilities show in his brushstrokes, but you don't have that with a computer filter.

That being said, round objects lend themselves well to kaleidoscopes. I'm not saying that these should be hung in the garage, but they are pretty cool nonetheless.

I like the subtle version.  The basil, cheese and sauce already have a strong impressionistic quality (especially the basil) and the filter enhances that.

I'm traditionally pretty anti-filter and almost always find them cheese-y, but here, maybe. Whatever you go with, I'd sleep on it, at least a couple nights. I don't think you can make decisions like these quickly.  You've got to take the image in and let it incubate.

Those look like something you might see at a church.

I really like the subtle one.  What did you use on that one?

Arcsoft photostudio 2.0 from 1994, it is the only program I have ever used.

That may be the single most beautiful picture of a pizza I have ever seen.....and I have scoured the internet and looked at thousands as many of us here have.

It looks the best just as it is, but you can also hit that photo with almost any effect you want and it looks fantastic.

Just a few.....and this looks cool at the 1920x1080 size which is now my desktop screensaver.

What filter did you use on the lower center pic?

I don't recall....just tooling around.

Here are some random filters layed over the picture. If you want to see more effects, just let me know and sorry if this is too many. Filter names added to the file names. --K
