Hey all,

My real name is Barry, but since I have seen another Barry on the forum so I will go by Hucklebarry.  I am from Atlanta GA.

Although I love pizza, I have not been able to try too many of what you may consider "true" pizzeria style pizzas as I have an allergy to... don't laugh, garlic...It seems that fresh garlic seems to affect me more than powder, but I do miss out on many pies.

So I have come here in an attempt to learn how to make a crust and sauce that  will allow me to enjoy a pizzeria style of pizza without the ill affects.

Hah. If only I were allergic to garlic.  I think I'm allergic to ... tomatoes.  Fresh tomatoes make me swell up and get dizzy, and run for the bathroom.  Not a great characteristic for a pizza lover.

You have my sympathy, vampire bait!  :D
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.

I think you are in luck Hucklebarry! Most "pizzeria style" pizza places usually add garlic because thats what most people think should be in Italian food. Take a good look around here and you will find many, many extremely high quality, delicious pizzas being made using no more than 3 or 4 spices....none of which are garlic.
Have fun, enjoy, welcome.
