The Knife Center also sells one with a black handle for $8.99.

I was intigued when served pizza in Italy recently, that without exception the pies were never cut. I wonder when and why us Yanks decided to cut pizza before delivering to the table?

That's a good question, Mark... Another trend at Neapolitan pizza places I've seen is using "pizza scissors" to cut the pies at the table. They had these at Via Tribunali, and I've seen them at Nostrana here in Portland as well....

Here is one, they even have a video to show you how easy it is to use. What will THEY come up with next?

John,

I have one of those knives and discussed it at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,8964.msg77611.html#msg77611.

Peter

Peter, did you find that style useful either for personal use or gifting?

There is something about those knives, and I think they might look nice with my Massimo Giacon plates (which are very whimsical).

These Abert knives look similar to the Cateris... "Italian designed". $88/dozen delivered from amazon.. seems expensive.

Just tried to get the manager at Via Tribunali here in Portland to order me a dozen, no dice.

Got in touch with the US Pintinox sales rep to see if I could order some. Turns out there are none in stock in the US, and ordering just a dozen from the warehouse in Italy may prove problematic. Might need to order a "unit", or 120 knives. Might be a about $6/piece, so I might need to organize my fellow pizza nerds to pool together on these. I'll know the details later next week.

Stay tuned...
