Pizza Hut Pan pizza - dough ingredient
« on: June 19, 2012, 02:57:16 AM »
Hi all.

I am from Malaysia and here in Malaysia we have domino and pizza hut pizzaria. I really like pizza hut pan pizza.

I dont know what type of pizza is "pizza hut pan pizza" (PHPP). Someone can advice me on this?

I once tried to make a pizza and hope that i can achieve the crust like the ph pan pizza. However the crust turn out to be hard not like the PHPP.

Here is the ingrediant.

2 cup wheat flour
1 cup bread flour
garlic powder
onion powder
1 tsp salt
yeast
1 to 1 1/4 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil

I cook the pizza in an electric oven at 220 C for about 15-20 mins.

So anyone can point what im doing wrong. Is it possible to have PHPP like crust without the olive oil. I need to reduce the calories a bit. how about the hydration? Thank you

The Pizza Hut Pan Pizza is one of the featured recipes here. Milk and sugar helps to keep the crust from becoming too hard. Link to the recipe page:

Thank you for the reply, i notice the difference is the milk powder.

Also i let the dough rise in the mixing bowl. then i flat it on a flat surface before i put it into the pan. Maybe the dough is too thin that's why the crust became hard.

I will try it again this week and see  how this going to become
