Hi, my name is Andy and I'm the new noob. I live in Wisconsin, near Madison.
My fascination with pizza began at a young age with a very basic pizza my mom made (homemade crust, canned sauce, green peppers, hamburger, mozz cheese). Since then, it was either delivery or frozen up until a few years ago when I'd try my own hand with store-bought crusts. I have been much more ambitious in the last year or so with making my own crust.
I've finally found a crust that is pretty good....and then I saw an amazing pic on Serious Eats that JimmyG posted, and it mentioned something about an "epoxy method" and Norma. Needless to say, I googled epoxy method and Norma immediately, and it brought me here. That was yesterday.
Today I made my stand-by crust (well, I made it yesterday and it sat in the fridge until today) and made a bbq pizza with it. Normally I take pics everytime, but this time I didn't, and now it is gone.

Anywho....I like thin crust best, but I'm really interested in trying this epoxy method.
Anyone around here from Utica, NY? I found a pretty great recipe for tomato pie (not pizza, yeah, it does look like it). I've found quite a few recipes for tomato pie, but this is the first one that actually looks and tastes like the pie I had in Utica.
Well, that's about it from me. I'm normally pretty quiet, and I enjoy lurking in my spare time. Thanks!
