18" Monster Pizza Screen in a home oven

I recently made my first 18-inch pizza, using the Lehmann dough recipe. The 18-inch size is the largest my home oven can accommodate. I used a combination of an 18-inch screen and a stone. I decked the pizza on the stone (rectangular and smaller overall than the screen) for the last minute or so to get better bottom browning. I, too, described the pizza as a "monster".  See Replies #260 and 261, page 14, at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,576.260.html. It was a lot of fun making. And very impressive looking because of its size.

That looks like an bad-ass NY pie. I would prefer a bit more 'char' in the crust though.

I would like more character to the crust as well but i havent been able to do so, do you have any suggestions ?

damn bocce club is the only place i know that has 18" pizzas, ive never attempted one.
