Cooking time
« on: July 05, 2012, 05:09:35 PM »
I get my BBQ to 500 degrees and I can only cook the pizza for five min., any longer and it burns. It also is a little underdone.  Any suggestions.
The recipe I used was
100g sourdough starter
200g water
310g bread flour
1 T sugar
1 T olive oil
1 t salt
2 pinches italian herbs
Thanks for any help

Don't think it has much to do with your recipe. Most likely your BBQ.

A well-known, extensively discussed issue.  Please take a look around the "Equipment" topic to see what you can learn.
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.

If you're baking on a stone, put aluminum foil on the bottom of the stone. I know it doesn't seem like that'll make much of a difference, but it makes a huge difference by reflecting heat instead of allowing the stone to absorb more heat than you want.
