How to seek a particular page
« on: July 09, 2012, 10:09:08 AM »
If I am on a lengthy thread, say MM, can I jump to a page that is more than just a few away?   Thanks!

Bob,

If there is a way of doing that, I am not aware of it after having tried to answer the same question myself.

You can do it manually by changing the URL.

http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,576.40.html

In the above example, I clicked on the Tom Lehmann's NY Style Pizza topic (which has an internal topic number of 576). So the above example takes you to reply #40 in that topic (i.e., /topic,576.40.html). If you changed it to 576.80.html then you'd jump to reply #80.

Bob,

I played around with this method and posted on what I found on another thread where another member (canadianbacon/Mark) appears to have asked a similar question. See Reply 7 at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,18846.new.html#new.
