Hello everyone,
My name is Pat and I currently live in southern California. I'm originally from the Washington, D.C. area and first got addicted to pizza as a little kid in the early '70s. By high school my friends used to joke that I must have pizza sauce in my veins instead of blood. Still looking (probably in vain)for the perfect east coast pizza here in Cali but for now I have to settle for the occasional 4 hour trip to Vegas for Grimaldi's.

Hi - I'm in MD and I feel your pain.
Check out this article on a place in LA.

Welcome to the forum, Pat.
How far south are you? Luigi's (San Diego) is pretty good.
With the right equipment and some dedication, you should be able to produce a pizza that puts Grimaldi's to shame.
