Forgot to divide dough before my "cold rise"

forgot to divide the dough into dough balls before the 24-hour cold rise.

can I go ahead and divide now into dough balls, or should I wait the 2 hours for it to soften up, shape into dough balls, and then wait another hour for the skin to develop?

The former would be most time-convenient--obviously.

Divide it, reball it, and then let it rest for a while before you use it.
