According to many leading culinary expert all over Italy, these are the best tomatoes you can buy. Il Miracolo di San Gennaro's San Marzano tomato, is the pure strain (all others are hybrid often called San Marzano 2), however believe it or not, is not labelled San Marzano DOP because are not peeled.....
I believe it to be too expensive for pizzamaking, however for someone like PFTylor that has often point out his view that "life is too short not to try the best", are worth considering.
