Here is what is holding up work on your oven, Gene.  We got it about 80% assembled today, finish it in the morning and get that wall cast in the afternoon (I hope).

Think I can beat them straight with a hammer and reuse them?

No, this is a fine example of Swedish torture imposed upon the motoring public, to wit:

Head bolt specs (12 stretchable bolts, price fiddy bucks):

From the inner to the outer, 14FP torque (hand tight plus a quarter), then 45fp torque, then just to really F with you, 130 DEGREES of torque to each bolt.  And don't forget to oil the bolts.

Cam cover spec (40 bolts that strip if you sneeze on them):

13FP torque(hand tight plus a third).  Easy enough you say, but do you actually HAVE a torque wrench that reads that low?  Plus, you are pulling down the valves so that means at least 10 times on each bolt, ie 400 times you are moving the wrench.  About an hour and a half installing the cam cover.

In reality, though, I am very impressed with the engineering of the Volvo.  On a teardown to the block, only three bolts that are hard to access.

Yeah, I had to cut a hole in my favorite flight protractor to get the angles.

Ok, here is where we are at.  Pic one is the entry showing the width and reveal.  Those brick are not laid yet, just cut.  Pic 2 shows the tensioned reinforcement ready for concrete.  The third pic shows the entry transition from the dome to the entry.  The inner arch brick will correspond to the revel, i.e. end there, the throat is from there to the front of the brick which will have a matching eyebrow arch.

It looks very nice, and I can't wait for her to be here.  If I were Robyn's cat, I would sleep in it.
