I see a WFO prayer in your future ...

This is my WFO. There are very few others like it, but this one is mine. My WFO is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my WFO is useless. Without my WFO, I am useless. I must fire up my WFO true ...

 :-D

Isn't that from the movie Full Stucco Jacket?  :-D

I cranked it up a little more tonight and cleaned the brick, I guess my camera went to the free concert with my daughter though, as I can't seem to find it.

Gene, I have a chunk of nice granite for a landing in front of the entry, but I do not have any way of polishing the edges.  I can mount it with the edge proud of the brick and then you could polish the edge later if you like.  It would be a 9"x32" area in front of the arch.  Do or not do?

Thanks.  Let me consider what size paper plates couuld fit safely on a 9" shelf. I'm thinking that it sounds like a good idea, I will let you know.

I am thinking that in case I get the nicer Chinette paper plates that 9" will work so long as it extends beyond the radius of the oven.

At 9", I think it would need to extend 12" or so beyond the facade on both sides where the plates can hang over both sides. Otherwise, I think a 13" plate will be unstable.

32-18=14/2=7" per side.  The size of my granite chunk is 33" so it is not wide enough.  There is one at the office I will measure tomorrow, it may be wide enough for plate storage.

Thanks.  I hope the first bake is a success, but the learning curve seems to be straight and steep. :-D

Getting down to even the detail of whether the style of Chinette you are using will work on the counter goes to show how much thought y'all have put into this oven. It's just awesome.

Commander in Chief-House shut us down for the 19th-20th unless you want to share the house with 60 or 70 screaming teens.  She is planning the youngest's Sweet 16 party that weekend.

4 hour burn so far with a small fire, heatsoaked to about 500 degrees, high spot temp on the perlcrete of 100, so it still has moisture.

Ended up as a 6 hour burn before I doored it up.  250 this morning, so not too bad.  I finished lathing it this morning, but do not think I will get the final perlcrete on it since the wind is blowing 20 miles an hour.

I guess my vocabulary isn't very large because profanity is the first thing I think of to decribe the completetion of the oven.

It looks great Tom.  Cook the Birthday pizza in it, if you want to.

8 hours later it is down to 195, so it appears to be drying out nicely.
