4 hour burn so far with a small fire, heatsoaked to about 500 degrees, high spot temp on the perlcrete of 100, so it still has moisture.

Ended up as a 6 hour burn before I doored it up. 250 this morning, so not too bad. I finished lathing it this morning, but do not think I will get the final perlcrete on it since the wind is blowing 20 miles an hour.

I guess my vocabulary isn't very large because profanity is the first thing I think of to decribe the completetion of the oven.

Hopefully it'll get better once it's totally cured. I just checked mine now. Pizza party was Sat. evening and the oven is at 280 now, almost 60 hrs. later. Temps have been in the 40s and 50s here since Sat.

That's what I love about these ovens. You can cook for 3 or 4 days on one firing!

Other than some detail and fenestration, it is done. No pics as we are expecting a couple of inches of rain this evening, but I will get some if it clears out tomorrow.

An opening i.e. a building.....which I hope has already been installed....

Ready for tile or finish coat stucco. I left a 4" hole in stucco at the top so moisture can escape.
