Pizza cheese spreader

Hi,

Thanks all in advance.

I havr seen a company use a cheese spreader.  They put thr cheese in a vent through the top and the cheese falls onto the pizza underneath evenly all over the pizza.

Does anyone know what this machine is called please?

You're talking about what they use in frozen pizza factories (or extremely high-volume commissaries), right? Regardless, I have no clue what it's called. I just asked because I figure maybe your answer will allow someone else answer your question.

Looks like a basket-release device.  There are slats on the bottom that go vertical when triggered, causing the entire area to drop straight down at once.  This is only possible with dry, small pieces of cheese, probably coated in some kind of non-clumping agent. 

The biggest question in my mind, is why the ^%$^$ would you want to do this to a pizza? 

And emulate Domino's, of all places?

I am trying to open a business and want to keep my pizzas consistent. 

I'm from England and will open my business here.  It's not that I want to match or copy Dominos but to get a even distribution of cheese across the whole pizza.

At this stage my business is not open and won't be for about six months or so.  I'm just trying to do as much research as I can to make the best and most consistent pizzas I can.

I didn't mean to offend.  It's just that chain-style pizzerias are a dime a dozen.  If you want to open a chain-style pizzeria, serving the same mediocre-to-bad product they do, you are better off looking into buying a franchise.

On the other hand, if you really want to raise the bar in your local pizza environment, then you are in the right place to learn how to do that.
