I have been very happy with the flavor and texture of both the Citterio pepperoni and Carando pepperoni. Each has it's own unique flavor. You might want to give them a try.

I know Vermont smoke and cure pepperoni is a popular choice here, another good one, and probably very similar to Vermont is the pepperoni from Oscar's Smokehouse in Warrensburg, NY. Google it, they do ship.

If you want pepperoni with flavor that blows all others away, try this:

I just ordered some Vermont Smoke & Cure Pepperoni from amazon.com. I've got some Ezzo coming too, so it will be nice to compare the two.

Actually, I got so much Ezzo (20 pounds of it) that I froze the Vermont Smoke & Cure pepperoni. I'll slice it up and compare sometime soon.

I have been making pizza for some time. I am no professional but I can make pizza. I have a Blackstone pizza oven but prior to that I used a stone on my gas grill with excellent results.

Currently I use Caputo 00 flour and have been trying different pepperoni. I first bought some from Cash and Carry but wasn't impressed at all. After trying a variety I have narrowed down what I think is good pepperoni. There are three that I currently have and like all of them. I have a couple sticks of Bridgford which cups nice and has great flavor. I traveled 6 hours round trip to Ashland Oregon to get 7 sticks of Vermont Smoke and cured Pepperoni and went to San Francisco to get Molinari's Pepperoni. My opinion is that Molinari's has a nice spicy flavor and cups well which is why it's my favorite. The Vermont Smoke and cure is really good and cups well also (my second fav.) I am impressed with the Bridgford stick I found at Walmart. It has a good flavor and also cups well. So that is what I found for my taste.

1. Molinari
2. Vermont
3. Bridgford stick

Yes, shipping would have been cheaper but I took my Wife to SF and I got to ride my BMW motorcycle to Ashland (Priceless)
