Learning to cook in my wood oven
« on: August 04, 2012, 07:19:10 PM »
Homemade oven, still heating the water out of the bricks.
While I was doing another "curing fire" I noticed the dokme had gone white at the top, so I had a go at a pizza, with a small batch of dough I'd made just in case. Had no sauce on hand, so its just dough, garlic infused olive oil, tomato, sea salt and herbs. Floor was 300C, about 570F, so not really hot enough yet but the pizza was quite edible.
Used the left over heat to cook the veggies my wife was preparing for dinner.
Regards,
Mick
