I've found that at times I've encountered recipes that require 4-500 grams starter, which was more than my large glass jar (I imagine 1 or a little larger, it's from a large jar of Adam's natural peanut butter) could handle.
Do you folks keep your starter in large quantities? If so, what is the most appropriate storage? I've got a few large plastic tupperwares that could accomodate more volume but I want to see what other people use for storage besides glass jars.
