Brendan,

This is my daughter’s dog Bandit that lives with us. This picture was taken on the beach at Coney Island. Bandit is a character. He is from an Amish farm.

Hah! They definitely look like brothers, Norma. Though Bandit is a bit more broad chested than Satchmo. Looks like maybe a bit of pit bull in him? How big is he? Satchmo is what I'd describe as a smaller full sized dog, just shy of 40 pounds.

Brendan,

I also thought Bandit looked like Satchmo. They could be brothers.

We think Bandit is part fox terrier and or, jack russel. We really don’t know. My daughter purchased him out of a box of puppies at Green Dragon over 14 years ago from an Amish boy. Bandit is only about 25 lbs.

Yes, it is too bad. We have a condo in Fort Walton so we go quite a bit and Motu is relegated to long walks and sunning himself on the balcony - which he loves, he'll sit out there for hours smelling the ocean air and basking in the sun.

I dont get the no dogs on the beach rule. If your dog makes a mess, bury it. Don't people know what fish do in the water?

I really don't either. It's not because of the endangerment factor either from a dog biting someone. I talked to my uncle before we went to down to fish in a tournament with him and he said that dogs aren't allowed for just as you said, making a mess. Really stupid considering all the nasty stuff that washes up and all the garbage that everyone else leave/buries before they head back to their condo.

<picks up SHE and runs into the water with her, dumps her in>
SHE (spluttering) : "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! THIS STUPID BEACH! AUGHHH! I'M NEVER COMING BACK HERE!!!"

My dog looks at me more threateningly than that when he's on my bed watching me eat at the computer...... He never shows any kind of hatefulness until then, at which point I always buckle and give him something.

Has anyone else spoiled their dog to the point of not wanting to eat their dry dog food? Ruger is starting to not want to eat his Blue Buffalo. I'm not going to feed him real food ever so I guess I better stop giving him my food for treats.
