Sure do love me some pugs :-* We also have a French Bulldog rescue named Winston. I'm thankful his story is nowhere near as sad as Gunner's. (It really makes you wonder what the hell is wrong with some people.) Winston is also what is known as a 'velcro dog'. I can't go upstairs to drop a deuce without him crying at the bottom of the stairs. (I pretty much have to take him everywhere with me.) The feeling is mutual.

Welp, my Blue Dawg, Soccer, is down.  She can't move and is on a quilt in my office.  She is probably the best dog I have ever had, just enough basinji so she didn't bark, but was still feisty.  The cat, Meow-meow passed a couple of years ago after being attacked by a neighbor dog.  She also lay on a quilt in my office.

Tom,

Sorry to hear about Soccer.  What is wrong with her that she can't move?

Tom,

Sending healing thoughts to both you and Soccer.  I hope she has an easy time, and that you get some peace soon.

Ain't no pulling through, she has cancer, just like my last dog.  He was hurting, Mr. Carter was, I had to put him down, Soccer is not in pain, just very tired.  Funny how some dogs actually deserve an honorific.  Mr. Carter was always Mr. Carter.

I hope you don't cry when he drops some bombs in the yard.  LOL

This is Raider a 4 year old adopted golden.  My daughter found him in need of a home 3 years ago and surprised with him at Christmas.  He proved the old saying very quickly that there is no such thing as a free puppy.  Over $1000.00 in vet bills in the first 3 months.  Great dog though.  The second pic is Mable, my 12 yr. old female.  She doesn't get around like she use to but is still a happy dog.

Jon,

I agree.  I had to put my friend down recently after many years.
