This will be TMI, but I had some dental work done today. After 3 of the regular numbing shots, he asked the assistant girl for the "dxr" or "lpn" or "xyz"; something super duper deadning. He shot me on the inside and outside of the tooth that he was working on. He left the assistant to watch me while the meds went to work, and he went and did another job.
After about 4 minutes, I understood why he left the assistant there. She was there to make sure I didn't swallow my tongue that I couldn't feel. My nose felt like it had melted onto my upper lip. Both eyelids on one side of my face didn't work. I couldn't feel my left ear. My bottom lip didn't work, my saliva glads were on overdrive. I probably looked like Jack Nicholson in 'The Shining' with slobber dripping out of the corner of my mouth. He started back on me after about 10 mins. of letting the "xyz" "do its thing". He said can you feel anything now" I gave him the "thumb" up with the only hand I could move at that point.
I'm mutch better now, but my gums feel like a dartboard. So, I'm having a small drink to get rid of this headache. I feel like somebody hit me in the head with a baseball bat.
