I am drinking some freshly brewed coffee from beans I roasted a few days ago. I used my Aeropress to maket his cup. Tastes pretty darn good too!

It's actually a play on words, and an homage to the band Wilco, whose "best album ever" (IMO) is Yankee Hotel Foxtrot...

So true, so true. As with so many things --- when you get to the level of a true aficionado/nerd (especially one with interests spanning multiple arenas like beer and music ) most people aren't going to notice (or appreciate) the subtleties like the name of the beer that the folks at Lagunitas chose...

They should have just used the album name!

Trying Great Lake's newest offering: Alchemy Hour Double IPA

Wow! They hit it out of the park with this one! Me likey!

I poured it too cold so not much head. Very complex. Somewhat sweet finish for an IPA but the sweetness is well countered with bitterness. Mosaic and citra hops I think. 9.4%ABV is hidden very well.

Yet another great IPA from Ohio!

I read this article the other day that said making one's coffee pretty is sooooo not cool anymore. As usual, I am behind the curve. As long as your coffee gets you wired up = #winning!.

La Colombe Corsica coffee with a slug of Dobel El Original Licor Sabor De Cajeta Con Tequila 1800. This has become my favorite way of drinking coffee. It even makes a lesser quality coffee taste good. Unfortunately, the Dobel product is not available in the U.S. as best I can tell. I have asked my son to look into a Mexican source on one of his trips to Mexico, or else I may have to await my next trip to Mexico. I discovered recently that my bottle of Dobel was several years old (I don't even remember how I got the bottle). So, I will have to see if a fresh bottle is as good as my "aged" one.
