Was the sweetness similar to the storebought product, or sweeter?

I thought it just a bit less sweet with a faint touch of caramel. It was quite a bit thicker once it cooled.
I love pigs. They convert vegetables into bacon.

I made some sweetened condensed milk last weekend. I took 1qt whole milk+2C sugar  and cooked it down to 1.75 cups over 2.5 hours at as low a heat as I could manage. Talk about great in coffee.

Have you tried the boil in the can method for sweetened condensed milk a couple hours and then let cool. KEEP COVERED WITH WATER THE WHOLE TIME!!! After cooling, open and you have the best dulce de leche you ever had. Great for fruit, apple dip or just try not eating it.....AWESOME

Yes. It's great. I've not let it happen, but I hear if you let it get uncovered... boom!

Just finished a little grappa after my worst pizza I ever made (not enough dough development) due to a cooler room temp.  Needed another couple of hours to finish maturing!

My usual black coffee. I think it needs a bit of rum given that it's Thanksgiving week and all.  ;D

Sounds good, I've read that Ethiopian coffee tends to have some fruity notes but it's been a while since I've had any. How would you describe it?

Also, currently drinking Mystic Mudslide from the Mystic Beanery in Mystic, CT. It's...mystical :P

My special brother knew it would probably be cold at market today while I was working today.  I did not know he was going to bring me hot tea but he did.  I never tasted spicy Chai tea before and I really like it now.  My brother wanted to get another brand of spicy Chai tea but the supermarket he stopped at did not have the brand he wanted to purchase.  He said he will go to another supermarket soon to purchase some of the other brand of spicy Chai tea for me to try.

My brother is in from Colorado to see my mother.

Norma,

This is what they use at Starbucks. I really like it and you can make many of these drinks at home for the amount you would pay for one venti.  I believe they sell it at Target and Starbucks.
