Bourbon drinkers:    Are we getting taken for a ride?

While I'm certainly not against paying someone a premium for their "craft" product, my days of purchasing high dollar bourbon based solely on the "story on the website and/or label" are O-V-E-R.

I had no idea. I'm happy to report though that I checked the list and I do not have a single bottle of Indiana bourbon in my house. (Full disclosure - I have had one one but I drank the whole thing a couple weekends back).

Love a good amarone.

I love a good amarone as well- with the right meal.  I don't think I could ever sit down and drink a glass on it's own, though.  My palate is just too delicate  :-D

Really hot day - mojito  - we're on a well (220 ft) excellent water so we carbonate our own.  Grow the mint in the front yard.

FUNK!

Kind of a cool story.
We have a fence in the yard by the alley that is , well ugly.
Asked the neighbor lady what to plant to cover it up. She says hops.
Hmm, well ok. Planted 3 hops plants and in a matter of 8 weeks they engulfed the fence.
A friend of mine is an award winning home brewer. This dude is good!
The second year the hops produced a million nice buds.
So i picked them late in the summer and gave my friend a paper grocery bag filled to the top.
I though he was going to hug me. So, my last name is Funk. i do a little design work and he asked if i would design the label for my beer.
Hell yeah! Took a photo of the actual fence with hop vine and my friend came up with the wording. I think they turned out great.
The beer is nothing short of awesome! Needless to say i am babying the vines ever since. This year the fence is covered again and sprouting dime sized buds. Can't wait!
