You can pick up nice compact (point and shoot) cameras, a couple models old, on ebay or keh.com for $20-$50 if you want something in the interim while looking for a full-feature, interchangeable lens camera.

That's probably what I'll try to do. I think I'd rather use keh.com since it seems to have a lot of good stuff and be a camera only site. I may stay on Craigslist like a hawk and see what I can do there for a real camera.

Check out some ppint and shoot camera reviews, find a good older model, and see what kind of a deal you can get used at KEH. You can probably get away with BGN rating, but if there is not a big difference in price, I'd try to go with EX or better.

I have no place to hunt doves this year.  :'(  I do have my eye on a bottle of Woodford however. If I can only muster the energy to get up and walk across my office to get it.

You have not trained Java to fetch the bottle?  I mean Java loves tennis balls, could you not put the tennis balls on the ends of the bottles that you wish to be retrieved?

You've just got to get Java enjoying a bedtime beverage with you.

Oh, and BTW, I found a D40 with a lens for $350 and the D40 seems to have good reviews but I think it is a pretty old design on a camera from what I've read. It's a digital SLR though. (Sorry to veer off topic)

They have been blasting the doves here since Saturday morning.  They were still firing at 6:00PM tonight.  I could do with a couple dozen jalapeno and bacon wrapped breasts myself.

That's no good. Too bad you are so far away; you would certainly be welcome.  However, the number of birds can be iffy at 7,500 ft. Some years it is good, others they head south before the season opens!

Haha, I've switched over to a Pepsi since I can't sleep and am posting like mad tonight. It may be the beer or it may be the caffeine at this point. No idea.

We need a live chat stream on this forum. That would be amazing for back and forth among a group of members.

I am drinking coffee now.  Thought I would have a half hour nap early last evening and didn't wake-up until now. I know I am a party pooper.  :-D

Not hard to add actually, it's called a Shoutbox, where you can give a shout out or be off topic and it doesn't matter.

Cuban espresso

edit: clarification - Cuban espresso is a method of preparation not a type of coffee bean.
