Yes, it is well written, and appears to be well researched. It made me thirsty for some corn, so I drove to the neighborhood liquor store to buy some to sip along with the book. Unfortunately, all they had were fifths, which is way beyond my needs. While there I also looked for a split of a dry white wine, of which I need 1/3 of a cup (none of my neighbors drink white wine) for a recipe for taralli which I plan on making tomorrow.
He was kind enough to open a bottle of crappy (is there any other kind) of dry white wine and give me a glass full as a sample. He also gave me a bottle of Batch 19, a Miller product, to try. It is very good, I would call it very close to the Farmhouse ale from Shiner I had the other night.
Luckily, from the store to my house, while almost 2 miles, is pretty much a private road, since I had to hold that glass of wine up all the way home. I must not be too drunk, since I didn't spill a drop.
