I was invited to go out with friends and family tonight to celebrate the coming in of the New Year, but was too tired from market today. Guess that shows my age when I don’t want to party anymore.

Just having a few drinks at home tonight.

I opened this up first tonight and it was corked. This was the last bottle of a case I've been pulling from over the past ten years. This was the only bad one in the group. 1985

Having recently returned from Mexico for Xmas holiday, I brought back all of the ingredients necessary to replicate a very nice Margarita that I had in a seafood restaurant in Punta Mita Mexico. So, to welcome in the New Year, I have been making, and beta testing, Margaritas.

Bob,

As it turned out, at the very same restaurant as I had the Margaritas, last night my grand-daughter had a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend several hours, at dinner, with her favorite singer/performer, Serena Gomez. My son tells me that they bonded immediately and had a great time, as did my son and daughter-in-law. Serena even gave my grand-daughter some "big sister" advice: "Listen to your parents". I even got the latest scuttlebut on Serena's on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, but my lips are sealed on this. I have been receiving photos of the occasion, including the one below.

Thank you all, and best wishes for the New Year.

Needless to say, my grand-daughter is the envy of all of her friends who have seen some of the photos.

My son said that Serena was not only beautiful but well-grounded. She is also a Texas gal, from Grand Prairie. I didn't think to ask my son what Serena was drinking. She is only 20 years old.
