I was just about to go out and split some wood but now it's raining, so I think I'll do this awhile instead.
Rt.113 IPA from Sly Fox brewing, not far from here. Not the best IPA in the world but still a damn fine can of beer. 7%abv in a can, oh my!

I found the Shiner Farmhouse ale in 24 oz bottles at the Wheatsville co-op.  I am loving this bier, I may need to buy some cases to squirrel away since it is a limited run. I just finished the pictured book, the story of American beer, it is very interesting and explores the origins of the craft brew movement, as well as how the taste of the new country changed to the light lagers of today's corporate beer (Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.).

It's mail order, Deb. Here's the web site: http://mattscoffee.com/index.php?cPath=21&osCsid=e4b990dfad607fcf597263b6fcc1adbd

This was my first order from them. I also got some Brazil Saquarema and some (don't laugh) Chicadee Decaf. They are both good (medium roast with some nice complexity and a good finish), and I'm enjoying a cup of 2/3 Saquerema and 1/3 Decaf as I write. I usually use that ratio because I'm a little sensitive to caffeine, and if I go whole hog, I end up with an "aerobic workout in a chair" especially with lighter roasts like the Susquarema, which are higher in caffeine.

Absolutely, Deb. I'm a big fan of dark roast when it's done right - not burned (like too many are these days). Just don't expect a french roast... this is a little more mellow, without the acidity. I also find that I'm using around 10-15% less coffee with Matt's.

Deb: Let me know how you like the Bird Dog. I was thinking of trying that in my next order.

Holy cow, Craig, if I didn't know better, I would swear that you've gone over to the dark side  :-D. Good luck with shedding the pounds (and all the side benefits).

So long as you don't put in too much kale, it's not as bad as it sounds.
