Yes sir, it has a bit of a mystery to it....I just checked on a couple military personnel forums and a lot of the guys(and gals) talk about it being their favorite beer while stationed in Germany. I believe " Park" is the brewery and Parkbrau is among their lineup of great beers. Park supposedly sells the most beer in Germany but it is hard to find here.

Heres the link for the Park Export. Different label since I was there. And true, I could purchase a Mug of this for less that a glass of Coke. Those were the days.  :)

Nice find Edgar. I usually drink the Park Pils there and you got that right...they seem to like to change the look of labels alot.

Some buddies and I decided to start our weekend a little early. >:D
We are drinking a couple nice Belgium beers, Straffe Henricks and Gulden Drak, and chasing it with some Wisconsin pickled bologna topped with horseradish cheddar cheese spread and a pretzel... you know, to make sure all the essential and non-essential macronutrients are accounted for. Nutrition first. ;D

Mexico-Atoyak de Alvarez coffee from the La Colombe Workshop with a slug of Dobel El Original Licor Sabor de Cajeta con Tequila 1800 (hecho en Mexico). Cajeta is Spanish for caramel.

Is it something you found here, or did you bring it back with you from Mexico?

Craig,

I brought it back from Mexico on one of my earlier trips. Everything on the bottle and most of the text on the box are in Spanish. The part that is in English suggests adding the product to coffee. I was previously drinking it on the rocks, as is also suggested on the box, but it can also be used on desserts. On a future trip, I am going to look for some more of the Dobel. As I noted, the product is made in Mexico. At some point, I might check out a liquor store here to see if it is sold in the U.S. I like it on the rocks but I think I will use the rest of the bottle with coffee.

Specs does not carry it which is usually not a good sign for finding it here locally. I'm going to check out some of the local liquor stores.

A bottle of 2006 Isole e Olena Cepparello in about 45 minutes.

Last night I had a small wedge of Rogue Smokey Blue Cheese and smeared into thin slices of baguette, it went wonderfully with a goblet or Trappistes Rochefort 10.

Had it on tap at The Brew Kettle a while back. It was part of a 5-way sample. I liked it so much that I ordered a pint of it. I agree, definitely world class.

I'm getting to the point where picking my top 5 IPA's is pretty much impossible though. There are so many good ones out there now.
