I was thinking about starting to get into juicing....thanks alot John!  >:(

Bob:, back when I was in high school there were 2 general groups, the stoners and the jocks. Or the juicers and the dopers.
Now there were many juicers hanging around from the influence of the 50's and early 60's. They must have flunked a couple times or been held back. But this was 1965-1969, I mean "juicers?????"

Oh well I guess you were refering to another kind of juice.
I'll go back to sleep :-X

A bit of brandy while watching the new show on Animal Planet "Glory Hounds" about soldiers and their dogs over in the sand. Pretty good show!

Cool. Yeah the cellini has the straight sides. Rocket makes a good quality product. That was the machine I really wanted, but didnt want to spend that much. I have not tried black cat yet. Lately I have been drinking double dog espresso from Buddy Brew in Tampa, FL. Kinda reminiscent of Metropolis Red Line when it was better.

Sly

Thanks for the tip on that Double Dog. I will have to look for that. That's a nice shot you are pulling with that bottomless portafilter there, in your avatar!

I cant claim that one. I have pulled plenty of pretty shots with a bottomless,  but haven't photographed any. That was just a pretty pic I saw online. I have been pulling double dog through a 18g vst basket and it does give some really nice tiger striping. I will order some black cat to try. I have been using the intelligentsia black cat  mugs for a while, not sure why I have been lazy about trying the coffee.

Bob,

Bob,

That really isn't you is it in those "double" photos?  If it is you could pass exactly as my son.  He looks just like that.

I was just reading about the VST Baskets and their performance on Home Barista.

Seems like they perform well.

You like?

I dunno that I can really tell any difference. When I first got it I decided I did not like it. I wasnt pulling great shots from it and was having some channeling. I put it a drawer and forgot about it. 8 months later I took it back out and started pulling decent shots from it with no problems and have been using it since. I really can't say why I was having issues with it the first time around. Anyhow, long winded way of saying it is fine, but not revolutionary - at least for me.

Edit - oh yeah, I forgot to add that the reason I came back to the VST is that the shape gave me better clearance from the shower screen with an 18g dose than the OEM LM double basket did. I suspected I was hitting the screen sometimes.
