That sound really good. I'm becoming a huge fan of La Colombe. A new supplier I have is only a few blocks away, so it's easy to grab a cup even if I'm not making it at home.

I had already told my son that I wanted an extra bottle to send to you. When I talk to him next I will see if he was able to locate a source.

LOL. I don't remember buying it so it must have been a gift. I am not a big drinker of hard liquor so I must have put the Dobel in my liquor cabinet, where it sat with the rest of my hard liquor. It wasn't until I ran out of the tequila that I brought back from my last trip to Mexico that I checked out my liquor cabinet to see if, by any chance, there was another bottle of tequila somewhere in there. There was--a Jose Cuervo--that I had purchased on another Mexico trip. And next to it was the Dobel.

I poured it too cold so not much head. Very complex. Somewhat sweet finish for an IPA but the sweetness is well countered with bitterness. Mosaic and citra hops I think. 9.4%ABV is hidden very well.

Yet another great IPA from Ohio!

I just picked up a 4 pak of this after an afternoon of skiing... You are right on. A keeper!

No, it's made by Ayinger.

Paulaner Salvator is another go to dopplebock, but the Ayinger Celebrator is my first choice.

Spaten Optimator is good too. I really enjoy Spaten Lager and Ur-Marzen as well.

Excellent beer, but when I see that Deschutes won multiple categories at the the World Beer event, it makes me wonder what other breweries paid to enter their beers into the competition.

I went on a tour of the Deschutes brewery a couple years ago. They have a bunch of really nice guys working there where are really laid back. Unlike the Rogue guys. Not saying the Rogue guys aren't nice, just that they're really into being Rogue.

I'll be moving up that direction in a few months..... yipee!
