Have you ever tried Innis & Gunn? They do some interesting aged beers. I've had the Irish Whiskey Cask, pretty potent stuff.

I just had a bottle of that from World Market. It was $11.99 there. Very malty with good hop profile. The bourbon barrel aging is noticeable and worthwhile. Its my third or fourth bottle of this stuff.

The unfermented sugars make for interesting car rides with the family.... :-D Just sayin....

@TXCraig1

If you're after whisky cask-aged beers I highly recommend the Harviestoun Ola Dubh range. Their ales have been matured in Highland Park casks (previously holding their single malts from 12 to 30 years).  I had a few of the Ola Dubh 12s recently. Went down very nicely indeed :)

I also paid 11.99 at Whole Foods. I thought it was good and would buy it again. Malty, smooth with a hint of bourbon is how I would describe it.

I actually saw the 16 at my local grocery store the other day. $8/12oz bottle.

Into the mug that has kept me suitably caffeinated all day, I have now poured the last of my Bulleit 10 to begin the gentle wind down.
