Hey pizza buddies,
Just wanted to let you know about Slice Out Hunger
, a fundraiser we've been running for the past 3 years, featuring some of NYC's best pizza. All you have to do is show up, buy tickets at the door for $1 each and exchange those tickets inside for slices, raffle tickets, Fizzy Lizzy sodas or Brewla Bars ice pops! Pizza will be available from Lombardi's, John's, Joe's, Difara, Sam's Restaurant, Grandaisy Bakery, Forcella, Rubirosa, Keste, Two Boots, Motorino, NY Pizza Suprema and many more. All the money gets donated to City Harvest, NYC's premier food collection organization. Last year we raised $5,000 in just about an hour, this year we're already set to crush that number!
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
St Anthony's Church, 154 Sullivan St (Corner of Houston and Sullivan St)
Starts at 6PM, ends when the pizza runs out!
No entree fee, just need to buy at least one $1 ticket and you're in!
Of course pizzas will be boxes and not necessarily in peak tasting form, but this is a charity event being run entirely by volunteers so come on out and eat pizza for a great cause. Ever slice we consume will rescue 8 pounds of food for NYC's homeless and hungry!
Hope to see you there,
