hot wing-sauce pie?

After seeing a post on slice about a pie made by a shop in ca, I decided to try it:
i used his formula  of combining frank's redhot sauce & yogurt ranch dressing, instead of blue cheese.
Chicken sausage.
part skim mozz.
this was a frozen dough ball, 63%HR, organic bread flour....2% oil..... ADY
baked on my 1/2" steel plate..
delish!

Despite not being my type of pie at all, it looks and sounds really good. I think I'd want to pour garlic butter all over it.

lol- when i first encountered these,  they offended my traditional sensibilities, but my kids brought me around. a guilty pleasure for sure.

Buffalo chicken pizzas are popular in my neck of the woods. (also not my favorite thing)
I do mine with my buffalo sauce as the base, then throw roasted chicken on about 75% through the cook time, or I will half cook chicken on the flat top and put it on under the cheese.

Jeep, is that a blue cheese dressing drizzled on top? Do you use mozzarella and blue cheese?
Both pies look great! I have to admit, I do love buffalo chicken pizza every once in a while

Most places around where I am have a buffalo chicken if they offer other sauces beyond red sauce. I also fall into the camp of those who like buffalo sauce.

I've yet to try one but I know this topping combo has become wildly popular....I see it everywhere man, whats up!?

A buffalo chicken style pizza is definitely on my pizza making bucket list. There was a post on slice about a month ago with a recipe to a "Syracuse-Style Hot Wing" pizza. I'm a Syracuse alum (GO ORANGE!!) and they definitely sell a lot of buffalo chicken pizzas up there so I'm definitely going to give it a try myself.

corkd's version with sausage instead of chicken looks great and may be what I use instead of regular chicken breast.

NY style buffalo chicken pizza, when done right, is probably my favorite NY style. I hope everyone will try it at least once.

Yes, this post is what inspired me... I live in syracuse, LOL... I like his method of combining hot sauce & ranch dressing...

Everyone makes one up here... As I mentioned earlier, I was reluctant but my kids brought me around..
