Oversize photo sends my post to the bit bucket

I just finish composing an opus of pizza wisdom, attach a few pics and hit the submit button only to be told one of my photos was over the size limit. There appears to be no way of retrieving the post. Not the back button on the browser nor the back option displayed by the web page. The post is gone. Time for a re-write. Would be nice if when a pic is oversize to allow the user to click back and remove or resize the offending photo.

I've been caught by this twice. First time I didn't realize there was a size limit. Second time, I resized all the photos so they were under the 128kb limit, largest was 100kb, but when I hit submit I got a message that said one of my photos was over the 512kb limit. It was the post titled "4 pies in 30 minutes". I had to break up the photos into two posts to get it to work. Perhaps there is a bug in the size limit algorithm or I still have a misunderstanding on how it works. 8 pics per post with a limit of 128kb per photo.

Type your posts of any size in Word or someplace else and copy over. This editor here likes to eat them.

I have never had a uploading problem since installing Image Optimizer. It's free and quite user friendly and fast.

Yes indeed, I will now always use a different editor when putting together larger posts. Isn't their an old Texas saying about fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me again and you can't get fooled again? Or something like that.

Try typing a long post into the message box in the first place.
