This has to be one of my favorite new pizzas I created. I wanted to emulate a king crab dinner on a pizza. I used equal parts fresh squeezed lemon and extra virgin olive oil whisked together for the base (with a pinch or two of salt), Havarti cheese, and king crab. No butter is needed, the melted Havarti is buttery enough. It's absolutely delicious!

Oh my!  That is lovely!  I'm a vegetarian, but I bet that same base would be wonderful with mushrooms or some other veggies.  Yum!!

Craig, yeah I did spend about $8 on king crab for one pizza ($19.99/lb at Whole Foods), and it was a bit of work getting all the meat out, but it was absolutely worth it. About one good size arm with a claw worked for a 12" pizza.

Costco sometimes sells them.  I saw one here in Atlanta for 12 bucks a pound.  They didn't look too old.  They might have better access to fresher ones there in Houston.

Sometimes Costco in Goleta, CA sells Alaskan king crab for $9.99/lb, but I haven't seen it lately.
