I have always been a dog person and my wife has always been a cat person. You can see how that worked out for me.

Actually it's a cable receiver/DVR. It is her favorite place to sleep. I think it's a combination of the heat and the hum from the DVR's hard drive that she likes. It drives me crazy sometimes because her tail gets in front of the IR sensor so the remote doesn't work. The receiver thats in the picture finally burned up this summer and had to be replaced. There was enough hair inside of it to make another cat.

We buy her these fancy schmacy comfy beds and she sleeps on the cable box. ::)

My pup will sleep on the hard wood floors in my bedroom sometimes instead of staying on the bed with me. Animals have a different mindset no doubt.

The only cats we ever had was a stray that came up to live in our woodshed and had a litter of kittens about a week later. We took care of them and I actually grew to like them a lot despite not being a cat person at all. They all ended up running away when they got older though, so I guess the care we gave them didn't amount to the staffage they wanted. :-D I wouldn't be against having one outside here at my house for mice control for sure.

That sounds about right.  Just like they never like the toys you buy for them but go nuts over balls of foil and the rings that come off of milk bottles.

Ain't that the truth....rather play with the packaging than the toy$   Any UPS empty box or 12 pack beer/soda box has to be left laying around on the floor here for a day or 2 as a new and comfortable temporary bed/hang spot. Funny 'lil creatures... :)

The black and white one loves boxes.  We had a package arrive several weeks ago that was *just barely* too small for her to fit, but she tried all the same - for hours!  We had a good laugh out of it before we took pity and replaced it with a larger box   :-D
