I've never ever liked cats, but I think I could get along having one of y'alls around the house. :D

This is my big orange bud, Oscar, but I call him Bigdog. If I'm in the comfy chair, chances are, so is he.

Depends on the cat breed and sex.  I've had many boy cats (fixed!) that are a lot like dogs.  They play fetch, want to hang around you, will sit next to you no matter what you're doing, are full of love and affection, etc.  Girl cats can be very different - not so friendly, kind of aloof, the "typical cat" in most people's minds.  But raise a big lug of a male shorthair tabby from a kitten and you have a lifelong friend.
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.

I sort of agree with this, but there are exceptions. Vannah is very friendly. She loves human attention and is not at all afraid to show affection to people. When we talk to each other, she likes to get in on the conversation and tries to "talk" herself. She is definitely very mischievous though!

Oreo (male/fixed) is most definitely a lap cat. More laid back than Vannah. His daily routine is usually running around chasing Vannah, eating, and sleeping. That's pretty much it. He loves to snuggle up to someone while they are watching TV or reading. He and Vannah are without a doubt best friends. They love playing with each other. Nobody ever told Oreo that he is fixed though--he still tries so hard with Vannah. Sometimes I kind of feel sorry for the guy.

Mitten is the wall inspector/box occupier in our house, as you might have gathered by my avatar.  She can even put herself into a tiny space WITHOUT a box!

Awwww!  That looks like the kitty we had when I was growing up!  :)

Mittens is a really pretty cat, Robyn. And that white streak down here face and nose cracks me up. :)

LOL, I can relate to exactly the opposite of that. My guy isn't fixed and still has no idea he is a male despite being two years old, he's just so innocent it's awesome. He lives with a female Golden Retriever and treats her just like he would a brother. I'm glad he has that mindset though, my mom's dog use to want to "love" on anything he came in contact with.

Haha it's crazy how something small can scare the daylights out of something much bigger. My Ruger is terrified of cats, but will willingly mess with a snake or any other wild animal. Guess he knows how bad a cat can mess him up!
