previous page in search function

When using the search function, if there are several threads under your search criteria, and after reading any thread, and then hitting the back button, I am never directed to the original list of pertinant threads and always have to reintroduce the original search criteria. Is this common in the search program or possibly related to my browser?

As a go around I "copy" my search term, then paste in the search field the second time.
I did try it on my iPAD and the Safari Browser lets me go back to the thread list. Interesting!

Instead of left clicking on the search results, right click on them and open them in a new tab. That way the original list of search results doesn't go anywhere.
