My gmail dissappeared!

I can get to my account page and everything but when I click on the gmail link at top of page it takes me to this...Invalid URL
The requested URL "/mail/", is invalid.

I can access my messages on my phone but no gmail on PC no more. What in the world??

I did a quick google search (got several hits) and came across this:

If you know how to run terminal commands then you need to enter:

 ipconfig /flushdns

Most of the hits indicated it was about your internet connection.  You can also think about rebooting your computer and also reboot your modem.

Thanks Mitch; I checked and saw those posts and tried the run command. Forgot about rebooting. Going to try that now. It's weird cause all a sudden my gmail "pinned tab" on Fire Fox went away and then the bad URL started..strange.

When you did the flushdns, did you also clear your cache?  In reading further, the solutions suggested you needed to do both.

Yes I did. 
All is well..good 'ol reboot kicked it in it's....

I have found the two best pieces of advice on computer issues, solving a huge percentage of problems, are:

1 Reboot
2 RTFM (Read the ... Manual)

After that, it gets harder.

Glad you are back in business.  If only I could reboot some of my pizza disappointments.
