"A Houston man who is in the United States illegally could face deportation after he serves a 10-month sentence for assault with a long-handled pizza spatula.
Horacio Ramirez Perez, 43, was sentenced Monday to 10 months in the Harris County Jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault causing bodily injury. That was a reduced charge from the initial felony allegation of
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, namely the metal spatula
