I just installed a self-signed SSL certificate for the site. That means you can now connect using https:// and your entire session will be encrypted with a 2,048 bit encryption key. It's self-signed, so you'll get a warning in your browser stating that it is not trusted.

This provides an extra layer of security for those of you who want to use it.

No, like if you're on a public (unsecured) wireless network, like in an airport, hotel, etc., no one can capture your data and see what you're up to. Other than that, it's not really necessary.... but I thought I'd add it for those of you who would like to use it.
