"While at a conference in Chicago, Jason McConville was enjoying a slice of deep dish pizza when it happened: the molten cheese burned the roof of his mouth, causing excruciating pain, followed by that all-too-familiar tender, raw sensation for the next few days."

Yet another reason not to eat deep dish.  :-D
I love pigs. They convert vegetables into bacon.

Its odd,  yes the pain is uncomfortable,  but I am more upset about not being able to taste correctly for the next couple days! Numbing my tastebuds even more would just piss me off.-Marc

Gene,

Maybe you could have used one of those dissolvable mouth strips at Reply 397 http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,17885.msg178358.html#msg178358

Craig,

No, I don't have Peter-like memory, but just remembered what Gene had posted because I felt sorry that he burnt his mouth at Best Pizza.

Thanks Norma.  Even though I did burn the roof of my mouth, it was very, very much worth it.  Great trip and experiences.
