Italian food! Winner! But seriously... this is just wrong

Recently, there was a fairly serious quake in Italy.  The heads of departments concerned with quake analysis and prediction were tried and sentenced for the effects of that quake... manslaughter, prison time and massive fines.

That's absurd. Italy has some ridiculous laws and rulings. That sets a precedent for sure if it sticks. More people would die from lack of knowledge being put out there.

To stress how stupid some laws are, you have to have a permit to work on Sundays In Italy. I saw that on a BBC episode of Top Gear where the guys got pulled over for filming a special super-car episode of their show in Italy and it happened to be over a weekend. They were told they had to stop immediately. That's why they're broke I guess.

Wow that is absurd.  Hopefully the Italian president will overturn the ruling.
